ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLDS SHOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE NSW GOVERNMENT’S HOME POWER SAVING PROGRAM

The Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, would like to encourage eligible households in the Coffs Harbour electorate to take part in the NSW Government’s Home Power Saving Program.

“This free program helps pensioners, veterans and those most in need to reduce their power usage, driving downward pressures on the cost of living,” Mr Fraser said.

“All eligible households who join the program receive a free in-home power assessment by an energy expert.

“The energy expert will come to their home at the agreed time, check the running costs of their appliances and talk with the householder about the best ways they can save power any money off their bills.

“During the visit the energy expert will also install a free power savings kit.  After the visit the householder will be mailed a free personalised action plan with more tips and advice on ways to save.

“The program is available to all NSW residents who are Centrelink Pensioner Concession or Low Income Health Care card holders, Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner or Repatriation Health (Gold or White) card holders and energy utility hardship customers,” Mr Fraser added.

To date more than 145,000 lower income households across NSW have joined the program and are on their way to making savings.

To take advantage of this program call 1300 662 416.
