Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser is delighted with Sealy Lookout’s outstanding achievement at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

Mr Fraser said the bronze medal-winning performance in the Tourist Attractions category was well-deserved recognition of the Coffs Coast’s outstanding tourism offerings.

“Congratulations to all the team involved at Sealy Lookout in the Orara East State Forest, and our entire region, for delivering exceptional visitor experiences and tourism products year after year,” Mr Fraser said.

“Tourism is a vital industry here and this award is recognition of the incredible work and expertise of those in our community, and also raises the profile of the region as a whole.

“Our beautiful region has so much to offer domestic and international visitors and we look forward to welcoming even more travellers to this beautiful part of the State as a result of this fantastic achievement.”

Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall congratulated the individuals and businesses on their outstanding accomplishments over the past year.

“Our tourism operators are at the forefront when it comes to delivering quality products and experiences and I congratulate the NSW finalists for their unwavering commitment to excellence, which has contributed to NSW’s position as the most visited State in Australia,” Mr Marshall said.

“Last year, our tourism industry generated $28.5 billion in international and domestic overnight visitor expenditure, and attracted 35.1 million overnight visitors, who stayed 194.5 million nights in NSW. Every tourism operator in NSW has played an integral role in achieving this result for our State.”
